Often inspired by natures innate beauty Sabine Maya paints in many layers to create depth and dimensions. The themes vary from abstracts to abstract realism, depending on what the paintings require to be.
Her works invite viewers into a space of serenity and reflection.
Sabine Mayas creative process involves a mix of washes in acrylic, often multilayered including inks, collages and marks. Experimenting with texture is her hallmark and the pieces are always finished in oil, facilitating rich saturated and lively colors.
Her various concepts seem to evolve while creating and her sometimes raw paintings show a state of becoming and development into something new. At the same time they provide freedom for the viewer to communicate with the painting in a very personal and wonder-ful way.
The artist eptitomizes the spiritual creator archetype. She wants to establish a conscious connection to the divine spark in each and everyone using art that inspires imagination, insight and thus evokes conscious change and evolution towards our true loving human nature.

Surrounded by the astonishing beauty of the Tyrolean mountains I fell in love with drawing & painting during my teenage years. Throughout the following decades this passion survived and developed into a precious retreat in times of big changes and challenges.
As an artist I endeavor to create pieces that provide glimpses into our souls essence and our innate divinity.
Working in mixed media enables the freedom I need to explore, create variations and layers to evoke change and healing. Inspired by the magical and mythical sometimes intended abstracts develop into realistic pieces and my love for texture often changes realistic pieces into abstracts. As new details and unexpected shapes arise for the viewer I hope so do new aspects and fresh enriching perspectives.
Through my work I strive to conjure up ways to connect to our mystical vitality within, deep insight and the miracle of being alive.
My mission is to celebrate and share human creativity in a way that connects us to divinity so that we remember our souls loving essence.
